This year again 30 students from Germany and Central and Eastern Europe are invited to take part in the
3rd „Pillnitz Summer Academy on Organic
Animal Husbandry“ in Dresden. Highly qualified lecturers will guide the students to explore the many aspects of organic animal husbandry.
The Summer Academy takes place
from 25th August till 31st August.
New in this year’s
programme are lectures about sheep and goats.
A field trip to 3 different farms, group work and discussions will help to extend the acquired knowledge. The course language will be English.
The Summer Academy will be held in cooperation with the professorship for Ecological Agriculture (Prof. Knut Schmidtke) at the University of
Applied Sciences in Dresden and the University of Natural Sciences in Wroclaw, Poland (Dr. Roman Sniady).
The Summer Academy is supported by the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation, the Schweisfurth Foundation, the Avalon-Foundation and the Pfunds-Molkerei Dresden.

The participation fee is 50 Euros and the costs for accomodation (simple group accomodation) are about 30 Euros. Successful candidates can apply for
scholarships covering travelling costs, costs for room and board and the participation fee.
